The Code of Conduct is the cornerstone of the Group’s cultural identity, and defines the basic rules of conduct which all employees and directors are required to observe. Contractors, suppliers and other people working on behalf of the Group are also required to observe the principles of the Code.
By keeping to the values expressed in our Code, day by day we can build a healthy working environment, driven by honesty, transparency and impartial behaviour.
Whistleblowing
Our Code of Conduct sets out specific rules to be observed in order to encourage correct behaviours within the company. The rules cover diversity, inclusion, sustainability, personal data and privacy, free competition, anti-trust, the prevention of conflicts of interest, abuse of office and corruption, the prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism, and the violation of international sanctions.
Whistleblowers can report actual or suspected violations of the Code, or any potentially critical situation.
Reports can be made in good faith, either anonymously or waving anonymity through the channels made available by the Company and the Generali Group:
- via webform (generalihelpline.ethicspoint.com), using the Generali Group Compliance Helpline, “Navex” application provided by an external company GCS Compliance Service Europe Ltd.
- by e-mail: concerns.co@generali.com
- by post: Group Compliance - Business Integrity – Via Machiavelli, 3 , 34132, Trieste
All reports must refer to specific circumstances and must be based on precise, concordant facts. The circumstances of the presumed offence must be described as clearly and comprehensively as possible, so that an enquiry can be launched.
The Company and the Group will not tolerate any form of retaliation against anyone reporting an offence in good faith or participating in a related enquiry. The identity of the whistleblower and the people involved will also be protected, within the limits of the law, and full confidentiality of all the information in the report is guaranteed.
