In collaboration with Quattroruote, Generali jeniot has developed an innovative project since 2018 aimed at creating a safety standard in the automotive sector through the scientific evaluation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Let's discover together how these systems revolutionize driving and contribute to road safety.
ADAS: Advanced Safety
Since 2018, Generali jeniot and Quattroruote have collaborated to test the advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) of new cars, following a strict proprietary protocol that reproduces many situations encountered during road driving. The research aims to evaluate the actual effectiveness of these systems in preventing or mitigating accidents and to rank vehicles with the best performance.
Scientific Testing with Quattroruote
The partnership has led to 13 scientific test scenarios focused on evaluating ADAS. Tests include real-life situations such as emergency braking, parking maneuvers with poor visibility, and adaptive speed control, conducted in variable conditions to ensure objective and scientific results.
Realistic and Repeatable Situations
Tests are designed to replicate realistic road situations, ensuring they are repeatable and that results are comparable. ADAS safety is evaluated in a series of scenarios specially developed to test the onboard systems of vehicles. Particular attention is dedicated to vulnerable road users (VRUs) such as pedestrians and cyclists.
